Illustration Friday: "80's"
So many images to choose from . . . why Grimley? I dunno, I guess he was always just such an island of sanity for me in an otherwise unstable decade . . . I must say.
Ah, the memories of SNL actually being a funny show that I used to look forward to seeing every week. Probably the last time it was hilarious. Great rendering of Mr. Grimley. He was one of my favorites then as well.
I remember my uncle showing us some SCTV tapes he had brought from Michigan...Ed was a pretty funny guy (anyone else remember the cartoon?)...nice job...

So funny...I remember when. Now the actor is playing Jack frost! How far we've all come..not very far!

Ah! Ed was a great character on SCTV, but not so good on the Billy Crystal Show (starring Martin Short). Oh, sorry, I meant SNL in the '80s.

This is a very decent illustration you have here, I must say. Almost as good as meeting Pat Sajak, I must say.
Does anyone remember John Candy doing a similar character on SCTV? Perhaps Ed's father.
